Sister Virginia Honish, SDS, DS ’55
Sister Virginia Honish, SDS, DS ’55, spent more than 30 years in the education field helping others become their best selves. While she started teaching second graders, she eventually rose to become a principal, first at St. Pius X grade school, and then at DSHA. In addition, she took part in a language immersion program traveling to Tanzania to teach ESL classes.
Sister Virginia continued to lead in her own community, serving as a provincial leader, and now as a member of the sponsorship coordinator team. She also coordinates the assisted living of the Salvatorian Sisters Residence in Milwaukee.
Qualities of a DSHA Graduate: She is a leader. She has spent a lifetime guiding students, faculty and staff, and her fellow sisters in offering community to those in need.
