About Community Theatre Works

DSHA's Community Theatre Works program (CTW) is an intensive, four-week summer rehearsal process that combines the talents of DSHA students and alumnae, middle school students, and community members. Students work in tandem with local talent in a caring theatre environment that fosters mentoring, teaching, learning, and growing to produce a summer musical.

Meet the Director

Zachary Ziegler celebrated his decennial anniversary as an educator this year!  He has spent his ten years teaching band, choir, and drama to students in grades K-12 in Colorado, Alaska, and Wisconsin. The current Director of Performing Arts at Messmer Catholic High School, he is proud to have grown his program each year, adding advanced levels of band and drama. Recent directing credits include Disney's Newsies at Divine Savior Holy Angels and Grease: School Edition and Godspell: 2012 Edition at Catholic Central High School. A local performer, he was most recently in Greendale Community Theatre's Chicago and subs on the sousaphone for Big Style Brass Band. He is very excited to be back at the helm of DSHA's Summer Cool show and can't wait to bring the magic of Matilda to life.
