Elf: The Musical Audition Information

Auditions for Rising Grades 9-12
Tuesday, June 3, 4-7 p.m.; students should stay for the entire duration of auditions
Students should:

Complete the audition sign-up form
Register for CTW via Summer Cool
Prepare one song from the Audition Songs List
Prepare one selection from the High School/Adult Audition Lines
Wear appropriate clothing (including shoes) to learn and perform a dance audition
Be ready to be measured for costumes, play improv games, and get to know their fellow castmates

Auditions for Rising Grades 5-8
Wednesday, June 4, 4-7 p.m.; students should stay for the entire duration of auditions
Students should:

Complete the audition sign-up form
Register for CTW via Summer Cool
Prepare one song from the Audition Songs List
Prepare two selections from the Middle School Audition Lines
Wear appropriate clothing (including shoes) to learn and perform a dance audition
Be ready to be measured for costumes, play improv games, and get to know their fellow castmates

Auditions for Adults
Tuesday, June 3 and Wednesday, June 4, 7-8 p.m.
Auditionees should:

Complete the audition sign-up form
Prepare one song from the Audition Songs List
Prepare one selection from the High School/Adult Audition Lines
Prepare to learn and perform a short dance audition

Callbacks for All
Thursday, June 5, 5-7 p.m.

Auditionees should plan to stay for the entire time

Callback materials will be posted on the evening of June 4 after auditions are complete

About Community Theatre Works

DSHA's Community Theatre Works program (CTW) is an intensive, four-week summer rehearsal process that combines the talents of DSHA students and alumnae, middle school students, and community members.

Students in grades 5-12 work in tandem with local talent in a caring theatre environment that fosters mentoring, teaching, learning, and growing to produce a summer musical.

Students will experience all aspects of the production from auditions to rehearsals to full performances before eager audiences. Campers will even have exposure to the behind-the-scenes work of creating a set from scratch and how to collaborate with stage crew.
