Sisters of the Divine Savior

Inspired by a passion to serve others and make known the goodness and kindness of Jesus, the Sisters of the Divine Savior are active in a number of sponsored and collaborative ministries, both in the United States and around the world. Their ministries use all ways and means to respond to the needs of people. This includes a presence in education, health care, religious formation, pastoral care, social work, peace and justice initiatives, and the arts.

Divine Savior Holy Angels High School is sponsored by the Sisters of the Divine Savior, with the school’s mission rooted in theirs: to make known the goodness and kindness of Jesus. The school is proud to share building facilities with the North American Headquarters of the Sisters of the Divine Savior.

History with DSHA

In 1948, the Sisters of the Divine Savior opened their convent school at 35th and Center Streets to lay students. Three years later, Divine Savior High School moved to a new building on 100th Street near Capitol Drive. Holy Angels Academy was founded by the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on 12th and Cedar Streets in 1892. In a spirit of cooperation and good will, the two schools affiliated in 1970 and continued the mission of both by joining together their names, traditions, students, and alumnae.

Salvatorian Service Requirements & Salvatorian Sisters' Service Awards

DSHA’s Salvatorian service requirement is a direct reflection of our mission to develop the whole person, rooted in the goodness and kindness of Jesus. Also, each year, Salvatorian Sisters' Service Awards are presented by the Sisters of the Divine Savior in acknowledgment of those seniors who have gone above and beyond the standard service requirements.

SDS ART GALLERY

The Sisters of the Divine Savior have created a working art gallery to showcase and share the incredible talents and dedication of their Sisters, viewed as an expression of their love and commitment to the work of Jesus. Work can be commissioned or personalized, as well as custom framed.
