Our Campus

Academic Suite: Est. 2015

Five new World Language classrooms were constructed as a part of the 2015 Building on Our Faith campaign. These classrooms are home to DSHA’s Spanish, Latin, and French programs.

Applied Wellness Den

This fourth-floor space is designed to be a comfortable and friendly space for students to meet for Applied Wellness activities to support academic, social, spiritual, and emotional well-being. The AW Den is outfitted with soft lighting, healthy snacks, and plenty of plush seating for students.

Arena Theatre

The Arena Theatre black box was built during the 2002 Vision DSHA campaign. It is home to theatre classes and rehearsals. The space includes two dressing rooms, dance studio mirrors for use in choreography rehearsals, and full lighting capacity.

Art Suite

The Art Suite was an addition to DSHA’s campus in 2002 along with the Fridl Family Foyer and the Robert and Marie Hansen Family Fine Arts Theatre. This space provides students with resources to explore fields from painting and weaving to design, digital media, photography, and more.

Chris and John McDermott Gymnasium

Built as a part of the 2015 Building on Our Faith campaign, DSHA’s state of the art gymnasium was made possible by the generosity of Chris McDermott, DSHA '76, and John McDermott. The space is used for health and fitness classes, intramural sports, athletic competitions and practices, along with some larger Masses and assemblies, and it contains six locker rooms.

Fridl Family Foyer

The Fridl Family Foyer is the gift of Richard and Florence Fridl, HA ‘45, and opened in 2002 alongside the Quad and the Robert and Marie Hansen Family Fine Arts Theatre. In addition to serving as the main entryway for the school, the Fridl Foyer houses displays of student artwork during the year, most notably during the AP Art Exhibit.

Marie Esser Hansen Library

The Marie Esser Hansen Library opened in 1996 and continues to provide academic resources and quiet study space for students to this day. The library houses more than 5,000 books, laptops available for checkout, reading nooks, and 24/7 online resources. The library is an excellent place for students to complete homework, work on projects, or read leisurely.

The ALPHA Center is located within the library and provides one-on-one instruction in science, math, and English from DSHA faculty. Students often visit the ALPHA Center for assistance, or simply to complete work in a constructive yet relaxed atmosphere.

Mother of Our Savior Chapel

DSHA’s new Chapel was constructed during the 2015 Building on Our Faith campaign and made possible by the family of Sylvia DuBois, HA ‘46. The Mother of Our Savior Chapel welcomes students and staff alike for optional Faith Friday liturgies, Adoration, and quiet prayer.

Music Suite

DSHA’s Orchestra Room and Choir Room were built during 2015’s Building on Our Faith campaign and were designed specifically to optimize acoustics. These spaces are used for Handbells, Advanced Handbells, Orchestra, Divine Strings, Angelaires, and choir rehearsals.

The Quad

DSHA’s Quad was the gift of Betty Quadracci, HA ’57. It was inspired by strong memories of friendships formed at Holy Angels’ lunch tables, and features round tables to nurture these same bonds of friendship in DSHA students today. In addition to lunch, the Quad functions as the reception area for theatrical productions and a variety of other events and assemblies.

R. J. Fridl Commons

The R. J. Fridl Commons were built as a part of the 2015 Building on Our Faith campaign and have quickly become a popular location for students to study, collaborate, and even relax. It also serves as the reception area for DSHA’s athletic games, collegiate signings, and a variety of other gatherings, events, and assemblies. The space also houses a DSHA History Wall made possible through the generosity of the Schlater family, DSHA ‘79 and ‘15.

Robert and Marie Hansen Family Fine Arts Theatre

The Robert and Marie Hansen Family Fine Arts Theater opened in 2002 as a part of the Vision DSHA campaign and has hosted numerous instrumental and choral shows, fall musicals, spring plays, Community Theatre Works productions, school assemblies, and Masses since. The Theater features a state-of-the-art sound system, a full fly system, and seating for more than 700.

Rose A. Monaghan Science Center

The Rose A. Monaghan Science Center was constructed in 1998 and contains five fully functioning lab classrooms and a lecture hall with a capacity of 50 students. The Science Center provides students an environment for experimental learning in DSHA’s rigorous science course offerings, including four AP options.

Sarah M. Hegarty Fitness Center

The Sarah M. Hegarty DSHA Fitness Center was completed in 2015 and is the gift of the Majerus Foundation to the Building on Our Faith campaign. The center honors the memory of student-athlete Sarah M. Hegarty, who passed during her senior year in 1998. The center is used by physical education students, athletic teams, faculty, staff, and alumnae for personal health and wellness.

Student Services & College Center

The Student Services and College Center was renovated in 2015 as a part of the Building on Our Faith campaign and were donated by Dan and Mary Brennan Druml, DSHA ‘80. The Student Services Department is a student-centered community where students can receive social, emotional, and academic guidance. The College Center strives to help students achieve future goals through assistance with the collegiate admissions process.

Sylvia DuBois Campus Ministry Center

DSHA’s new Campus Ministry Center was constructed during the 2015 Building on Our Faith campaign and made possible by the family of Sylvia DuBois, HA ‘46. The Campus Ministry Center is a popular destination for students to plan retreats or liturgies, gather in community, or complete work.

SDS Art Gallery

As an expression of the Sisters of the Divine Savior’s love and commitment to the work of Jesus, they run a working art gallery located on the fourth floor of DSHA. The gallery showcases the talent and dedication of Sisters Karlyn Cauley and Clarice Steinfeldt, and students and the TSC are always welcome to visit to view pieces or to purchase gifts for loved ones. The gallery is open 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM weekdays or by appointment.
