Fine Arts
The DSHA Fine Arts Department offers opportunities for every interest and ability level, allowing students freedom of expression through a variety of media.
In addition to our Fine Arts curriculum, students can pursue their interests in performing arts via theatre and co-curricular activities.
Our talented Dashers get to share their gifts with the community, and are often recognized for their accomplished performances. Dashers are frequently awarded top ratings at WSMA Solo & Ensemble and win coveted Jerry Awards for their musical theatre performances.

Music
Our instrumental and choral ensembles allow all musicians to showcase their talents. Our ensembles perform at two annual concerts, and DSHA musicians can also participate in our fall and summer musicals, the winter WSMA Solo and Ensemble music festival, and liturgical music opportunities.
THEATRE
Students involved in theatre productions grow as communicators and public speakers and develop confidence on and off stage. Annual shows include our fall musical, winter play, spring advanced acting production, and a summer musical produced by DSHA’s Community Theatre Works program. Our technical theatre students design each show’s set in the DSHA scene shop and gain unique experience in construction, lighting, sound, costume design and more.
Visual Arts
DSHA’s comprehensive visual arts program flourishes inside and outside of the classroom. From graphic design to drawing, painting to fibers, photography to ceramics and everything in between, there's something for every student.
FINE ARTS FACILITIES
Built in 2002, the Robert and Marie Hansen Family Fine Arts Theatre is in a class of its own, setting the stage for award-winning productions. Thanks to generous leadership gifts from alumnae, newly-renovated visual arts and music suites give DSHA some of the finest facilities in the state.
