Opportunities for 2024-2025

Volunteers are an essential part of many activities here at DSHA and a great way for parents, alumnae, and DSHA community members to connect with each other.
 
From stuffing envelopes to chaperoning dances, helping with the Auction, or one of our Parent Associations — we could not do what we do without you! Below is a list of opportunities available for volunteering.

  • PAA Golf Outing & Dinner | Sept 6, 2024

    PAA Golf Outing & Dinner Planning Committee
    Help the PAA support Dasher Athletics with its one and only annual fundraiser at     The University Club in Brown Deer. 

    The planning committee meets monthly via Zoom from May-September to plan & fundraise for the outing held on Friday, September 6, 2024.

  • Father Daughter Dinner Dance | Jan 25, 2025

    The annual Father Daughter Dinner Dance is one of DSHA's most popular events. This year's Father Daughter event will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025.   • DSHA Auction | March 8, 2025

    DSHA Auction Committees

    If you're interested in joining an auction planning committee, please consider signing up here.

    Below is a list of the different committees:
    • Acquisitions Team: Join the Acquisitions Team and reach out to previous item and experience donors to seek their support this year. Creative ideas for new items and experiences are always welcome. We have both a voice and a silent component to our auction.
    • Engagement Team: Join the Engagement Team and help round up parents, alumnae, and friends of DSHA to attend (or volunteer at!) the auction and ensure it is the best party of the year!
    • Environment Team: Join the Environment Team and create the perfect atmosphere that fits the theme (TBA) for this year's auction. Share your ideas or follow the directions of the creative-types. Volunteers begin creating the look of the event in January.
    • Sponsorship & Underwriting Team: Join the Sponsorship & Advertising Team and reach out to previous donors, area businesses, and other friends of DSHA to ask for their support.

    • Parish Team: Help raise funds through local parishes to underwrite items for the DSHA Auction!

    Day-Of Volunteers:
    We need volunteers on March 7-8 as well for event set up, day-of duties, and tear down/clean up.

  • Grandparent Liturgy | April 30, 2025

    DSHA annually welcomes hundreds of grandparents for Mass and a pastries & coffee with their granddaughters on April 30, 2025. We're looking for volunteers to assist with set up, greeting, hospitality and clean up.

  • Dasher Day of Giving | May 13, 2025

    Dasher Day of Giving is a day to give, share, and love with the DSHA community! This day is about making a gift to support current and future Dashers. To share gratitude for the DSHA community on social media, and to celebrate the people in the Dasher community who made a difference for you this past year.

    Whether in-person or virtually, Giving Day volunteers can have a big impact. Invite fellow families to give via our text-a-thon, write thank you notes to donors and generate a spirit of gratitude in partnership with other DSHA families. The best part? You can have a big impact by volunteering for 30 minutes or less.

  • Mother Daughter Mass | May 4, 2025

  • Baccalaureate Mass | May 22, 2025

    Graduation week is full of celebrations at DSHA. Only freshman, sophomore, and junior parents should sign-up for these activities, so that senior class parents can attend with their daughters.   • Graduation Dinner Dance | May 28, 2025

  • Dasher Resale (Textbooks & Uniforms) | July 18, 2024

    Used textbooks and uniforms are collected and priced in late May and the resale will take place in the DSHA Quad in July 18, 2024. A link to sign up will be posted in spring, 2024. 

    More information about the 2024 Dasher Resale will be available after April 15 under the Parent Resource Tab on myDSHA and on Facebook Marketplace.  

  • Campus Ministry | MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITIES

    There are various ways to get involved with Campus Ministry throughout the school year from assisting with retreats, to helping deliver sandwiches or cans. Have questions or need more information? Contact Director of Salvatorian Service Katie Daily Pickart, PhD, DSHA '84.

  • General Administrative Volunteer | MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITIES

    Opportunities include:
    • Helping the Advancement Department with clerical tasks including mailings, data entry, spreadsheet updates, and other jobs as needed.
    • Helping out in the Main Office answering phones and welcoming visitors when one of our staff is out of the office. Training will be provided. We also have a variety of mailings and other office projects throughout the year.

    Assist DSHA staff with chaperoning and student supervision:

    Winter Formal | February 15, 2025 – 6:30-10:30pm at DSHA

  • Recruitment Events | ONE-TIME / EVENT

    Recruitment events for prospective and current students are held throughout the year.
     
    They include Girls Night In, Freshman Fun Nights, Lock Ins, etc. Assist DSHA staff with supervision and event management.

  • Christmas Decorating | Nov 19, 2024

    Deck the halls of DSHA. Help prepare the Quad for the festive season of Christmas on November 19.
