WE NEED YOU FOR THE 19-20 SCHOOL YEAR!

Volunteers are an essential part of many activities here at DSHA. From stuffing envelopes to chaperoning dances, helping with the Auction or Parent Association — we couldn’t do what we do without you. Many activities go on throughout the school year that require volunteer assistance. Please review the list below and check back often as new opportunities will be added.

  • Mother Daughter Event | November 17, 2019

    Assist with the Mother Daughter Liturgy & Luncheon on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the Pfister Hotel.  Volunteers needed for early morning set up, registration, raffle ticket sales. Have questions or need more information? Contact MDLL Co-chairs Laura Lois or Natalie Rifelj.

    Volunteers also needed for the Mother Daughter Mass. Campus Ministry is looking for 12-15 volunteers to help with various liturgical ministry needs: lectoring, ushering, gift bearers and Eucharistic Ministers. Interested or have questions? Contact Catherine Lennon.

    Sign up to help bring DSHA's largest annual fundraising event to life!   • 2019 Golf Outing & Dinner Committee

    Help the PAA support Dasher Athletics with its one and only annual fundraiser at 
    The University Club in Brown Deer. Assist with the organization & fundraising for the event. The committee meets monthly from May-September to plan & fundraise for the outing held on Friday, September 13, 2019. Have questions or need more information?   • Auction — Acquisitions Team

    Join us in the Auction workroom to help with decor planning and creation. Come for an hour or spend the day - we are happy to have whatever time you can share.     The Engagement team is all about getting people involved in the Auction. Host or co-host a class benefit party, put together a table (or two!) for the Auction, recruit and organize volunteers.   • Father Daughter Dinner Dance Committee

    One of the most beloved events of the year is the Father Daughter Dinner Dance where over 900 dads and their girls dance the night away at the Pfister!  Assist with the planning and execution of the event - planning to start in November and event date is Saturday January 18, 2020.   • Ambassadors

    Volunteer as a liaison between DSHA and your parish or grade school and help us identify families who have younger girls who would be great Dashers! Information on recruitment events, parent education sessions and other important news will be shared for promotion within your community. Help us reach families that would be good fits at DSHA.   • Annual Fund Administrative Assistance

    The Annual Fund assists DSHA in responding to opportunities and priorities that are not funded by tuition and other means. It is the largest source of fundraising support for our school. Each October we hold a parent to parent phone-a-thon to share information and secure pledges for the year's Annual Fund. Help with mailings and other simple office projects.   • Campus Ministry - Eucharistic Adoration Guardian

    On the first Wednesday of every month (when school is in session) we are looking for parents who are willing to take hour shifts throughout the day as part of our Applied Wellness Adoration offerings. Adoration will being at 7:30 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. Parents may sign up for any number of hours shifts throughout the day. Interested or have questions? Contact Catherine Lennon.

  • Campus Ministry - Food Collection Days

    Every 5/15/25th, students donate canned goods for a food pantry in order to be out of uniform. Campus Ministry needs volunteers to bring those canned goods to Mother of Good Councel Food Pantry (3001 N 68th St, Milwaukee, WI 53210). Pick up time is flexible but preferably around 10:30 a.m.  Interested or have questions? Contact Stephanie Monson.

    Support DSHA's Campus Ministry Department by participating in various duties needed throughout the year.   • Class Representative — Freshman

    Act as a representative of the parents of the Class of 2023 for the Parents Association with the purpose of engaging and inviting parents to participate in the PA. Duties include attendance at PA meetings, contacting class parents to share the meeting agenda and invite them to attend, sending a report of the meeting to the class and encouraging volunteerism. This person would also serve as a conduit for parental concerns to go before the PA and possibly the administration.
