Who We Are

DSHA Community

With over 700 young women representing over 100 grade schools; over 100 dedicated faculty and staff members; and an alumnae base of over 15,000 graduates, the DSHA community is dynamic, vibrant, and evolving, rooted in faith and committed to excellence.

DSHA promises a financial and mission-based commitment to a student body comprised of diverse young women with different gifts, perspectives, and life experiences. DSHA is committed to providing an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and equitable for all.

Students

The spirit of the community among DSHA students is one of warmth and support, and can only truly be known through experience. Whether students are cheering one another on during an all-school assembly, serving together in the Milwaukee community, or studying together for an AP exam, the community of sisterhood is one that lives well past the brick and mortar of DSHA, and certainly beyond graduation.

Faculty and Staff (TSC)

Over 100 faculty and staff serve in the TSC  the Total School Community. This group is devoted to serving community over self as they live out the DSHA vision to give students the best high school experience for girls in the greater Milwaukee area. Whether guiding Dashers in student-driven Campus Ministry, using expertise to teach a math class, coaching the volleyball team, or ensuring the school is a clean, inviting environment for learning, this dynamic group of individuals works hard, celebrates well, and considers each role in the TSC vital to the mission of DSHA.

Sisters of the Divine Savior

Inspired by a passion to serve others and make known the goodness and kindness of Jesus Christ, the Sisters of the Divine Savior are active in a number of sponsored and collaborative ministries, both in the United States and around the world. Their ministries use a variety of ways and means to respond to the needs of people, and include a presence in education, health care, religious formation, pastoral care, social work, peace and justice initiatives, and the arts. The DSHA mission is rooted in theirs, and the Sisters of the Divine Savior are a vital and welcoming presence on our campus.

Alumnae

Celebrating 128 years of all girls’ education, DSHA has a rich history of alumnae – over 15,000 – who are committed and connected to the current mission of the school. Whether serving on the Alumnae Board,  attending school events, or reading The Word magazine, this population, rooted in sisterhood, is a vital and active part of growing our community into its intended vision.

Board of Directors

The DSHA Board of Directors is an able and active group composed of alumnae, Sisters of the Divine Savior, parents, community executives, professionals, and volunteers. They serve to guide the school through the creation and implementation of intentional strategic plans, committed to both preserving legacy and fostering vision.

Parents

Devoted and enthusiastic, DSHA parents are involved in multiple aspects of school life. They can be found serving on the annual auction committee or a parent association, attending the annual Father Daughter and Mother Daughter events, or representing the school to prospective families.
