“Do justice, love goodness, and walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8
Dear DSHA community,
“The road of mercy leads us to the heart of God......Act justly, love tenderly, walk humbly with your God,” is the opening lyric and chorus of "The Road of Mercy," which we have been singing at our Thankful Thursday Masses during the preparation of the altar. This song aligns with our scriptural theme for the year.
The Thankful Thursday Mass last week was our Respect Life Mass. Catholics nationwide were encouraged to pray for an end to abortion and a greater respect for all human life, including topics such as euthanasia, climate concerns, and immigrants and refugees. These topics are of interest and concern to our daughters. At Mass last week, I was reflecting on the opportunity our daughters have to learn about these complex topics through the lens of faith.

Parent engagement survey
DSHA Parent Engagement and Communication Survey | As part of the While Child Education Immersion focus groups this fall, parents shared valuable feedback about opportunities to strengthen communication and deepen parent engagement. While strong teachers’ responsiveness and parent-to-parent connections were noted as strengths, parents had ideas about school communications and parent engagement. This survey is intended to gather your input to help DSHA improve how we communicate, build belonging among parents, and create more meaningful opportunities for partnership between the school and families.
It is in this spirit of goodness, collaboration, and care for our daughters that we invite you to take this short survey by
Friday, January 30. Take the surveyAcademic Updates

Learn About DSHA's Salvatorian Global Scholars Honors Program | This is the third year of DSHA implementing the
Salvatorian Global Scholars program. Global Scholars learn the mission of the Sisters of the Divine Savior by exploring human kindness, rejoicing in cultural diversity, and finding common humanity across cultures and the curriculum. The Sisters of the Divine Savior is an international congregation of more than 1,000 sisters ministering in 26 countries on five continents.
In alignment with the mission, global scholars prepare for higher education and careers in which intercultural knowledge, critical thinking, communication skills, and multilingualism are assets. In addition to academics in core subjects, scholars pursue electives geared to developing a worldview and cultural awareness. They participate in co-curricular activities, service, and intercultural experiences that tie their academics with experiences outside the classroom. Your daughter may register for the Global Scholars program by contacting
Academic Dean Erin Housiaux,
World Languages Department Chair Susie Romero, World Language Faculty Thomas Head, or a school counselor.

- High-resolution images: For the best print quality, use a digital camera and save the image in a large format.
- File format: Save the image as a JPG file, titled using the format LastName_FirstName.jpg

Director of College Counseling Kristin Shea.Applied Wellness Updates
Applied Wellness is in full swing this Spring semester. The wellness program is a choice-based program with weekly requirements. Students engage with the intention of learning about breaks they enjoy and allowing themselves a weekly break from academics. Since it is choice-based, students need to prioritize wellness and plan. Experiences are offered every day, but there are limited spots within each, so students need to be mindful to choose their day and experience at the start of the week to solidify their experience of choice. School attendance, organization, and time management skills are embedded within the
Applied Wellness program.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Updates
NEW! New Date for Next Dasher Dialogue | This month's Dasher Dialogue has been moved to February 12. Students are invited to attend an optional Dasher Dialogue focusing on loving your neighbor.
Optional Dasher Dialogues have been a part of the fabric of DSHA for the last nine years. Consistent with the DSHA mission to form young women who accept the gospel call to live lives that will make a difference, Dasher Dialogues create a loving and caring space for conversations that can be uncomfortable. These conversations focus on the dignity of every Dasher while helping students understand their responsibility to act as disciples of Jesus Christ.
