  • PSAT Test for Juniors | Wednesday, October 11

Junior students will take the PSAT online on Wednesday, October 11. As this is the first time students will be taking the PSAT online, school IT staff and administrators will be assisting students with any necessary PSAT testing downloads in preparation for the test on October 11.

As a reminder, the PSAT tests students’ skills in reading, writing, and math. The test is 2 hours and 45 minutes.

The results of this test are used to determine those who qualify for National Merit Scholarships, a national academic recognition and scholarship program for all juniors conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Taking this test is most beneficial to students who could be in contention for recognition from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The National Merit Scholarship program recognizes the top 3% of high school juniors nationally based on their scores on the PSAT.

Becoming familiar with the new digital-format tests will be key for students to feel confident as they head into their official PSAT in October of junior year.

Our friends at Revolution Prep are excited to support us through this transition by offering a free digital PSAT experience that most accurately reflects the official College Board test in format, user experience, adaptivity, and content. Students will learn how to navigate the new digital testing format and practice using the exact tools available to them on the real test, such as the graphing calculator, digital annotations, answer elimination, and much more! Upon completing the practice exam, you will receive a score report illustrating three high-impact areas for your student to focus on for each section of the test (math, reading, and writing) to help your student feel confident on testing day.
