Each year, DSHA and Marquette University High School (MUHS) hosts a college financial aid information program. Junior and senior students are invited to attend with their parents. This year, MUHS will serve as the host for our 2023 College Financial Aid Information Night on Tuesday, December 5 at 6:30 p.m. The session will be held in the O’Rourke Performing Arts Hall. It will include the following:
  • Guest Speakers: Financial aid officers from Marquette University will lead both English and Spanish presentations. They will review the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the basic chronology regarding filing the form, and the components of a financial aid package. Questions will be encouraged throughout the presentation!
  • Changes to the FAFSA: There are a number of changes to this coming year’s 2024-25 FAFSA as a result of the FAFSA Simplification Act. Most important to note, for the class of 2024 families, the opening date of the FAFSA has changed. The 2024-25 FAFSA will not be available until sometime in December 2023. The guest presenters will offer a comprehensive review of the changes and updates that will be helpful to both our junior and senior families.
