The DSHA tennis team is committed to building a well-rounded student-athlete through competition and challenges both on and off the court. We help develop leadership through discipline, accountability, and responsibility. We are passionately committed to teamwork, playing hard, and most importantly having fun and enjoying the game.
In her time coaching at DSHA, Coach Gebhardt has led the tennis team to a dual match record of 174-57. The team has been named Conference Champions in 2013 and a seven year streak from 2017-2023. They were Conference Runner-Ups 2014-2016. The team was Sectional Champions in 2013, 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2022. The team was Sectional Runner Ups in 2016, 2017, and 2019. In all 11 years, there has been anywhere between 2-4 Individual State Qualifiers. In 2014, Lane McLaughlin and KK Doering were Individual State D1 Doubles Runner Ups. In 2017, Jordan Schifano got 3rd place and Logan White got 5th place at Singles at Individual State. In 2018, Logan White got Individual State Runner-Up at Singles and Jordan Schifano got a 4th Place finish. In 2019, Jordan Schifano was the D1 Individual State Singles Champion. In 2020, Carolyn Schaefer got a 5th Place finish at Individual State in Singles. In 2022 and 2023, Molly Jex and Lizzie Stuckslager were the Back-to-Back D1 Individual State Doubles Champions. The team advanced to the Team State Semi Finals in 2013 and 2022. The Team advanced to the Team State Finals and were Runner-Ups in 2018, 2020, and 2021. Coach Gebhardt instructed at the Paley Center and the Paley Center Tennis Camps. Coach Gebhardt still plays tennis in State League for her 4.5 Women's 18's Team and her 4.5 Women's Over 40 Team, both of which has Qualified for Nationals.
