Mary, Class of 2020, Hubertus

"Latin Club allows me to come into contact with the creative and fun side of being a Latin student. From the meme wall to the pancake breakfast, I have put my love of Latin to use in a less scholarly manner alongside other girls who share my same passion for the language."

Requirements & Fees

  • Latin Convention attendees are required to attend additional meetings and help prepare for the events at the Convention.
  • Students attending either of the two trips will pay additional costs for the trip; however, there is no fee to join Latin Club.

Co-curriculars will meet 1-4 times monthly on extended instruction days.

Major Events

  • DSHA Latin Club attends the Wisconsin Junior Classical League Latin Convention each year. This year’s trip will take place January 25-27, 2018.
  • Latin Club offers a biannual trip to Italy. The next trip will be during Easter Break 2019.

Helen, Class of 2020, Brookfield

Latin Club exudes spirit in everything we do, whether it be at Latin Convention, in our House Cup competition, or just in the halls. You don't even need to take Latin to be a part of the club, and everyone becomes closer. The best part is coming home from Convention with no voice from cheering so loudly for DSHA!

Jillian, Class of 2020, Milwaukee

Latin Club does not only open doors to learning about an old language, but it allows me to meet people from different backgrounds at DSHA and other schools. Experiences in Latin Club won't be forgotten!
