Whole-Person Education

Climbing Club

DSHA’s joint rock climbing club with Marquette University High School meets at the new Adventure Rock in Milwaukee starting in October. Top rope, lead climbing, and rappelling are all taught throughout the course of the year. Knots and belay training are provided, and certification may be earned. Club involvement is a great opportunity to socialize with MUHS students and to engage in a new and fun activity. This is a yearlong club, but students may choose to participate for only one semester if they wish.

2017-2018 Recap

In 2017-18, two DSHA team members advanced to the Wisconsin State Championships for rock climbing.

Abby, Class of 2019, Richfield

By being a part of this club, I am able to lead something that I am really passionate about and grow it into something greater than it was when I first started as a freshman.

Nina, Class of 2019, New Berlin

Climbing Club is much more relaxed than most other sports at DSHA, but I have really grown as an athlete through the club. My workout routine, sportsmanship, and teamwork have all really improved.
