Fall Musical

Fall Musical Background & Production History

DSHA’s fall musical is our biggest theatre production of the year. All students are welcome to audition for a role onstage or encouraged to participate as a technical crew member, working in lighting, set design, costumes, props and more. Auditions are held in May of the preceding year, and boys from any high school are invited to audition alongside DSHA students.

November 2018 – DSHA Presents Les Misérables

"Les Misérables is the world’s longest running musical – a true modern classic based on Victor Hugo's novel and featuring one of the most memorable scores of all time.” This is the story of an ex-convict who served nineteen years of wrongful imprisonment, and broke parole to start a life of redemption. Meanwhile, there is a student uprising for justice against classism and oppression, which leads the revolutionaries to battle atop a barricade. Inspector Javert, who is hunting Valjean, must confront his ideals when his life is spared by his enemy. (Music Theatre International)
