French Club

Students in the French Club have the opportunity to participate in a variety of French cultural activities involving art, cuisine, fashion, films, holiday traditions, and more. It is not necessary to be a French student to join. The club’s goal is to promote understanding and appreciation of the language, culture, and people of France and other francophone countries. The group also sponsors a young girl from Haiti through a charitable organization.

Leena, Class of 2020, Oak Creek

"I would encourage a prospective student to join French Club because French is an incredible language, and French Club is an engaging way to learn about and experience a culture different than our own."

Meetings

Co-curriculars will meet 1-4 times monthly on extended instruction days.

Major Events

  • French Club hosts an annual Halloween Party for exchange student participants.
  • An annual Advent Calendar sale supports the French Club's sponsored student in Haiti.

Emilie, Class of 2019, New Berlin

The girls in French Club grow into a close community, and being a leader of this club has helped me to become a leader in other things, as well.

Sarah, Class of 2017, Whitefish Bay

French Club is not only rewarding by teaching its members about culture in Europe, but we also try cool French dishes and begin many of our Wednesdays with delicious French food. French Club is a great way to further any student's French education even if they don't take French just because it is a fun way to implement a little bit of culture into your life!
