DSHA Students Recognized in Young Playwrights Festival Competition

For the past two years, DSHA has participated in the Young Playwrights Festival sponsored by the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre. Students participated in a series of workshops with artists-in-residence at the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre to develop and write an one-act play and submit it to the biannual festival, which next takes place March 20, 2023. Three DSHA students were selected to the top ten list in 2021 and four students to the top ten in 2022 list.

Rocket Baby by Anna Nelson, DSHA '22, was selected as an Honorable Mention and will receive a staged reading at the festival in March. For The Record by Elise Yamat, DSHA '24, also received a shout-out as an extremely close contender.
