Dashers advance to WIAA Sectional Semi-Final

DSHA defeated Fond du Lac and Watertown to advance to the WIAA Sectional Semi-Final.
It was a wild weekend for the DSHA Dashers. On Friday, DSHA beat Fond du Lac 84-57. DSHA had an 11 point lead going into half time. The Dashers scored 47 points in the second half and forced 32 turnovers to seal the victory. Jadin O'Brien led the Dashers in scoring with 20 points. Lauren DeStefanis added 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals for DSHA.

Saturday night, DSHA came back from a 7 point half time deficit to beat Watertown in double overtime. Watertown led a majority of the game. Bella Huschitt was the top performer for the Dashers. She recorded a double double (15 pts. and 10 rebs.). She also scored the game tying baskets in both regulation and the first overtime. The drama unfolded as Watertown held a 55-54 lead with 8 seconds left. Watertown went 1 of 2 from the free throw line. Jackie Jarosz brought the ball up for the Dashers. She found Emily Capper, who made the extra pass to Alyah Garcia. Garcia hit the 3 pointer from the corner as time expired giving DSHA the 57-56 win. DSHA will now play #3 seeded Appleton East on Thursday in the WIAA Sectional Semi-Final.
