Sister Susan Staff, SDS, DS ’56

Ministry: Religious Vocations

Humility and kindness are two qualities of the Sisters of the Divine Savior that Sister Susan Staff, SDS, DS ’56, found admirable. After teaching nutrition and diet therapy, Sister Susan worked mostly behind the scenes in the religious community. For the North American Province of the Sisters of the Divine Savior, she served as the public relations coordinator and the vocations director. For the international order, she served as development director, supporting the sisters’ international ministries. 

She also served at St. Francis Seminary in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, assisting in fund development. Sister Susan loved to plan and escort groups on their pilgrimages to the Holy Land and Rome, and did so more than several times. 

Qualities of a DSHA Graduate: She was a communicator. She spent her ministry spreading the stories and mission of the Sisters of the Divine Savior.
