Laurie Gramling Lambach, DSHA '76

Alumna of the Year
Laurie spent 20 years working first as a CPA then as a CEO in manufacturing before moving into leadership roles in the Milwaukee nonprofit community — combining her classical management education with expertise in entrepreneurism and organizational development to help build infrastructure and generate growth through continuous improvement.

She currently is the President and CEO of UNISON Inc., serving the health of Milwaukee County residents by linking generations and building social bridges. She’d previously served as President and CEO of SET Ministry, before leading SET into a 2017 merger with Interfaith Milwaukee to create UNISON.

Prior executive-level experience with Milwaukee’s leading early childhood center has given Laurie a deep understanding of strength-based initiatives that lead to stability and wellness for children and families. Laurie is a founding partner — along with Wisconsin’s First Lady Tonette Walker and former child-abuse pediatrician Dr. Angela Carron — of Fostering Futures. Established in 2011, the collaborative aims to create a platform for change to increase the well-being of Wisconsin’s children and their families. UNISON serves as Fostering Futures’ primary community partner.

Laurie has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She and her husband, Chris, are active members of Holy Apostles parish in New Berlin. In her spare time, she loves to read good fiction, eat good food and spend time with good friends.
