DSHA Assistant Cross Country Coach Andy Lelinski will introduce you to distance running, as well as individual instruction in techniques and training necessary to prepare for the 2019 Fall season. Workouts, guest lectures and fun activities are all designed to instruct, entertain and motivate. This camp acknowledges a wide variety of talent and experience and will tailor the running portion of the program to suit the individual needs of participants. DSHA Head field hockey coaches Sue Walline and Quinn Loucks will provide instruction on the fundamentals of stick work, positioning, and offensive and defensive strategies. Full-length shin guards and colored mouth guard are required. Cleats or turf shoes preferred, but sneakers are allowed. Sticks will be available to borrow; if you are planning to play, please purchase a stick (either Dita, Grays, or TK). Equipment is available for purchase at Burghardt Sporting Goods in Brookfield and Fox Point or online at longstreth.com.

Brian Calhoun, DSHA Director of Fitness & Performance, will provide a safe and effective training program to improve overall fitness and performance, and reduce the risk of injury. This camp teaches both basic and advanced training techniques specific to your needs. It incorporates the five basic bio-motor skills in speed, strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination. This camp is for athletes and non-athletes alike.

DSHA Head Golf Coach Phil Plautz will provide instruction on the fundamentals of the game of golf. Rules of the game and golf etiquette, in addition to swing instruction and putting, will make this a camp you won’t want to miss. Camp is held at Missing Links Golf Course, 12950 N. Port Washington Rd., Mequon.

Come learn the fastest growing sport in Wisconsin! DSHA Head Lacrosse Coach Sabrina Boehlke will provide you with basic instruction in the fundamentals of the game, as well as offensive and defensive strategies. Required equipment includes cleats or sneakers (for inside if it rains), and a mouth guard. Bring your own stick or borrow one from DSHA.

National Championship winning DSHA Head Rugby Coach John Klein will provide you with basic instruction on the fundamentals of this game that is fast-growing in popularity. Sessions will focus on individual and positional skills, as well as team skills and concepts.

DSHA Head Softball Coach Tom Montgomery will provide you with instruction in the fundamentals of fielding, throwing and hitting. The sessions will also focus on proper defensive rotation, and will introduce you to proper techniques and skills for catchers.

DSHA Head Soccer Coach Kevin Roethe will provide four days of intense and fun-filled soccer training. You will have the opportunity to improve technical ability to achieve tactical success. The sessions will include technical training in individual skill work, tactical training in offensive and defensive skills, and daily games.

This camp will include classroom, pool and dry-land training sessions each day. DSHA Head Swimming Coach Josh Griffey will help you perfect your swim strokes and starts in preparation for the fall season. Come see what high school swimming is all about during this fun-filled camp. Camp is held at the Wauwatosa West High School Pool.

All skills will be taught with drills and competition to put those skills to work. This four-day camp will provide a lot of learning and tons of fun. DSHA Head Volleyball Coach Caitie O’Brien Ratkowski, DSHA ’02, will provide instruction to those who have already acquired the basic skills necessary to play competitive volleyball. More advanced techniques and skills will be taught along with more position-specific drills and more competitive play. This four-day camp will provide challenging drills and tons of fun. Come take your game to the next level with one of the best high school coaches in the area.
7th/8th grade campers are not required to attend both volleyball camps, but are welcome to sign up for both sessions. 9th graders are encouraged to sign up for this camp as well as Tune-Up Camp.

Here’s your chance to hone your skills before tryouts. DSHA Head Volleyball Coach Caitie O’Brien Ratkowski, DSHA ’02, coaches advanced techniques and skills, while offensive and defensive strategies are emphasized. If you are interested in trying out for a high school volleyball team, this camp is highly recommended.
9th graders are encouraged to sign up for this camp as well as the Advanced Skills Camp.
