CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations on your acceptance to the DSHA Class of 2027! We are so excited for you and your family to start at DSHA!

Please mark the following dates on your calendars and watch your email (and this webpage) for updated information about future opportunities for the class of 2027 to gather together.

    This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow classmates in a relaxed environment! You will participate in ice breakers and small and large group activities led by current DSHA students.

  • DSHA Parent Association Meeting | Tuesday, April 25 | 8:30 a.m. at DSHA

    DSHA Class of 2027 Parents are invited to the last PA meeting of the year! 

    The meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 25 at 8:30 a.m. in the Fireside Lounge at DSHA.

    The Parent Association is an excellent way for parents and guardians of DSHA students to get involved in their daughter’s high school experience. The association benefits our school community through educational programs, social functions, and faculty appreciation events. In addition, the PA provides vital volunteer and financial support for faculty appreciation events and Campus Ministry activities. Whether your commitment is small or large, all DSHA parents and guardians are encouraged to join the PA and stay connected and involved.

  • Future Dasher Night—Softball | Thursday, May 4

  • Dasher Mentors | May

    Your daughter's Dasher Mentors will be in touch in May to introduce themselves and share upcoming plans for this spring and summer!
  • Math and World Language Placement Testing | Monday, May 8 & Thursday, May 11

    Placement testing will take place on Monday, May 8th and Thursday, May 11th from 3:30-5 p.m. at DSHA. All students are required to take the math placement test and have the option to take a World Language placement test. It is recommended to take one placement test a day. 

    Math
    • All students will take the math placement test
    • For questions, please email Math Department Chair, Dawn Gardner at GardnerD@dsha.info
    World Language
    • Students who have experience with level one world language skills and are interested in being placed in level two  need to take the placement test.
    • Students who speak Spanish as a primary language at home and who want to take Spanish for Spanish Speakers language course need to take a placement test.

    FAQs
    • Does my daughter need to bring a calculator? Please bring your calculator for the math test. A scientific calculator is fine. 
    • Does my daughter need to bring a pencil? Yes please! 
    • When do we get the results?  Results will be emailed to the contact email used for SignUp Genius in approximately 2 weeks. 
    • If she is taking both the math and language test, which one does she take first DSHA has no preference--whichever test your daughter wants to take first is okay with us! 
    • Do I drop her off at the front entrance and pick her up at the front entrance? Yes, drop off and pick up in the front at door #1.  Students can call parents if they get done early.

  • Basketball | Gr. 8 -9

    DSHA Head Basketball Coach Brian Hendricks provides basic instruction in the fundamentals of basketball. A major portion of each session will be devoted to exposure and mastery of these skills. Come learn from the best – and have a great time during this fun-filled week!

  • Camp Dasher

    Rev up for the new school year! Spend four glorious days at DSHA in this fantastic introduction to your first year. You'll explore the school, make new friends, meet faculty and staff, learn about classes, and discover ways to make the most of your four years as a Dasher. Sample school curriculum through mini-sessions and gain skills in notetaking, writing, organization, and more. You'll also participate in a service project, daily reflection, and recreation. 

    July 17 - 20 | 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    This camp runs Monday, July 17 - Thursday, July 20.

  • Community Theatre Works | Disney's Descendants | Gr. 5 - 12

  • Cross Country | Gr. 5 - 9

    DSHA Head Cross Country Coach Andy Lelinski will introduce you to distance running, as well as individual instruction in techniques and training necessary to prepare for the 2023 fall season. Workouts, guest lectures, and fun activities are all designed to instruct, entertain, and motivate. This camp acknowledges a wide variety of talent and experience and will tailor the running portion of the program to suit the individual needs of participants. Get a jump start on your summer training and join the fun!

    June 12 - 15 | 9 - 11 a.m.
    This camp runs Monday, June 12 - Thursday, June 15.

  • Field Hockey

    Incoming freshmen— get a jump on tryouts and see what this sport is all about!  Join the DSHA Varsity coaching staff, current players, and alums to learn the sport of field hockey. DSHA Head Coaches Sue Walline and Quinn Loucks will provide everything you need to know! 

    Shin guards and mouth guards are required. Cleats or turf shoes preferred, but sneakers are allowed. Sticks will be available to borrow; if you are planning to play this fall, it may be a good idea to purchase a stick. Equipment is available for purchase at Burghardt Sporting Goods in New Berlin and Fox Point or online at Longstreth.com and Amazon.
     
    June 19 - 23 | 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Fitness and Performance | Gr. 7 - 9

    DSHA Director of Fitness and Performance Brian Calhoun will provide a safe and effective training program to improve overall fitness and performance and reduce injury. This camp will introduce the five basic bio-motor skills in speed, strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination. This camp is for athletes and non-athletes alike.  

    June 19 - July 19  | 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. 
    This camp meets Mondays and Wednesdays, and will not meet the week of July 3.

  • Girls and Robotics | Gr. 7 - 9

    Come learn about the exciting world of coding and robotics! The field of robotics is full of unique challenges, critical thinking, and creativity. During the week, campers will work with members of the Hilltopper Robotics FRC Team 1732, our cooperative team composed of Divine Savior Holy Angels and Marquette University High School students which has competed multiple times in the FRC World Championships. Through a variety of hands-on activities, campers will build and program a robot to perform fun and friendly challenges while learning the basics of mechanics, electronics, and coding.

  • Lacrosse | Gr. 6 - 9

    Come learn the fastest growing sport in Wisconsin! DSHA coaches will provide you with basic instruction in the fundamentals of the game, as well as offensive and defensive strategies.

    Required equipment includes cleats or sneakers (for inside if it rains), a mouth guard, goggles, and a stick.

  • Leadership Boot Camp

    Leadership is a big part of being a Dasher and this boot camp will get you in shape to be a leader at DSHA. This day-long experience will build a connection within the class of 2027 as well as a sense of community while inspiring students to be leaders from their first day at DSHA. Group activities focused on teamwork, critical thinking, and real-life scenarios combined with fun ice breakers will prepare freshmen to make an immediate impact at DSHA.   • Math Games

    Master your math skills while having fun! Campers will learn 5 – 10 math games and why they matter. These will include spatial games, number games, combination games, games of risk and reward, and information games. 

    Note: Choose between week of 7/10 or 7/24.

  • Rugby | Gr. 6 - 9

    National and State Championship winning DSHA Head Rugby Coach John Klein will provide you with basic instruction on the fundamentals of this game that is fast-growing in popularity. Sessions will focus on individual and positional skills, as well as team skills and concepts.

  • Soccer | Gr. 6 - 9

    DSHA Head Soccer Coach Kevin Roethe will provide five days of intense and fun-filled soccer training. You will have the opportunity to improve technical ability to achieve tactical success. The sessions will include technical training in individual skill work, tactical training in offensive and defensive skills, and daily games.

    July 24 - 28 | 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Softball Beginner Camp | Gr. 4 - 9

    DSHA Head Softball Coach Tom Montgomery will provide you with instruction in the fundamentals of fielding, throwing, and hitting. The sessions will focus on building the proper fundamentals needed to be a successful high school softball player.

    For players who have not advanced to the U12 age group, or with limited softball playing experience. This session will help players learn the game from the ground up. Great for players at the U8 or U10 levels or who are new to the game of softball.

  • Softball Advanced Camp | Gr. 6 - 9

    DSHA Head Softball Coach Tom Montgomery will provide you with instruction in the fundamentals of fielding, throwing, and hitting. The sessions will focus on building the proper fundamentals needed to be a successful high school softball player.

    For players with at least three years playing experience. This session will help players improve their fundamentals and use more advanced drills and teaching methods. Players need be entering 6th to 9th grade to participate in this camp.

  • Tennis | Gr. 6 - 9

    DSHA Head Tennis Coach Melissa Gebhardt will provide you with instruction on the fundamentals of the game of tennis. Rules of the game and tennis etiquette, in addition to serving and various tennis strokes, will make for a fun week.

    Camp is held at Elm Grove Tennis Courts, 13600 Juneau Blvd., Elm Grove.

  • Volleyball Freshman Skills

    DSHA Head Volleyball Coach Caitie O’Brien Ratkowski, DSHA ’02, will provide instruction for those who want to improve the basic skills necessary to play competitive volleyball. A progression of all skills will be taught, along with some position-specific drills for those skills. Camp will also include more advanced techniques. Additional skills will be taught along with more position-specific drills and more competitive play. This five-day camp will provide challenging drills and tons of fun. Come take your game to the next level and get ready for your upcoming season with one of the best high school coaches in the area!

    Note: 9th graders are encouraged to sign up for this camp as well as Tune Up camp.

  • Volleyball Tune Up

    Here’s your chance to hone your skills before tryouts. DSHA Head Volleyball Coach Caitie O’Brien Ratkowski, DSHA ’02, coaches advanced techniques and skills while positional-specific skills are emphasized. If you are interested in trying out for a high school volleyball team, this camp is highly recommended. 

    Note: 9th graders are encouraged to sign up for this camp as well as the Freshman Skills camp.

Dasher Mentor Program

The Dasher Mentor program is designed to help you through your freshman year at DSHA. All freshmen are assigned to a small group (5-6 freshmen) with two Dasher Mentors (current DSHA students). Your Dasher Mentors will contact you in May to introduce themselves and organize opportunities for you to meet your fellow Dasher Mentor group members! 

Events are planned during the first few weeks of the school year, and your Dasher Mentors will continue to connect with you during your freshman year. Your Dasher Mentors are great resources for you as you begin your high school journey!
