The School Entrance

The Quad

This spacious dining room/commons area features round tables where students can share the latest news and create lifelong friendships.

Fridl Family Foyer
The “grand opening” to DSHA, our visitor reception and art display area, provides enhanced security and ADA accessibility.

Rose A. Monaghan Science Center
To accommodate our growing science needs, the expansion of this science center to all but one classroom on the third floor includes an additional fully equipped chemistry/biology laboratory, expanded classroom space, and a student and faculty preparation and research area.

Center for Visual Arts
Three state-of-the-art classrooms offer facilities for commercial and recreational art. Our new Haggerty 3-D Art Studio,  painting and computer graphic studios, and dark room house classes in ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, photography, drawing,  painting, computer and graphic design, as well as general art.

The Robert and Marie Hansen Family Fine Arts Theatre
Our 750-seat theatre with orchestra pit, backstage area, and full-fly loft has raised the curtain on a whole new level of professionalism and innovation in theatre arts and music. This extraordinary new addition also includes a classroom/rehearsal area, scene shop, dressing room, technical control room, box office, storage, and office space.

Members of The Sound of Music cast rehearse on the stage of the Robert and Marie Hansen Family Fine Arts Theatre. The Sound of Music , presented in November 2002, was the first musical performed on this stage.

Theatre Classroom
The new theatre classroom, also known as the Arena Theatre, is adjacent to the Robert and Marie Hansen Family Fine Arts Theatre. The floor of the classroom has the same dimensions as the theatre stage.

Marie Esser Hansen Library
The library media center houses more than 12,000 books. The collection also includes 1000+ audio and video cassettes, filmstrip kits, laser disks, CDs, computer software, and art prints. Computer resources include 16 patron work stations using Office XP Pro software. They are networked with the electronic catalog and four electronic data bases: SIRS Knowledge Source, Grolier’s Encyclopedia Americana, EBSCO, and ProQuest. In addition there are over 35 CD-ROM reference titles locally available. Internet connectivity is available on 19 personal computers in the library and all sixty-two computers in the two adjacent computer classrooms.
