General Course Goals
The goal of Physical Education is to provide basic skills and knowledge in activities that the student can continue to pursue and enjoy throughout life. Exposure to different team, as well as individual sports, in conjunction with proper techniques on stretching and conditioning, will afford the student a sound basis of knowledge from which to draw in the future. The goal of Health Education is to provide the students with information that will contribute to the development and maintenance of good health. Emphasis is placed on women's health issues. Choices and decision making are stressed. The students are taught the skills necessary to weigh options, to make responsible decisions, and to develop behaviors that promote healthy life-styles.
