DSHA student chosen as Coca-Cola Scholars semifinalist

Milwaukee – Divine Savior Holy Angels High School senior Kendra Calawerts, of Brookfield, has been designated as a Semifinalist in the 2005 – 2006 Coca-Cola Scholars Program. She was chosen as one of 2,000 out of a pool of 50,000 nationwide because of her commitment to academic leadership and volunteer service.

Calawerts will now enter the second phase of competition, in which 250 students from across the United States will be invited to Atlanta, Georgia where they will be interviewed to determine if they will be National ($20,000) or Regional ($4,000) scholarship recipients.

Since 1989, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation has administered this popular scholarship program which provides $1.8 million annually to 250 high school seniors for post-secondary education.
