The DSHA Rugby Team is the proud host of the 2005 Girl's High School Rugby National Invitational Tournament to be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from May 20 - 22. Click here or on the logo at right to reach the official tournament website.
Rugby is gaining popularity at DSHA and coach John Klein thinks he knows why. "I believe that the girls who are participating in Rugby go to school and tell others how much fun they are having and as a result more girls are participating and coming to games," says Klein. The team also placed first at the national tournament, which may also have increased their popularity. The success of the Rugby Club is largely due to the girls who are on the team. "I believe our success has come from the wonderful attitude they bring to this team. They feel united by this sport and play for each other and not just for themselves. They have so much fun as well," says Klein.
