Milwaukee – Art work by students of Divine Savior Holy Angels (DSHA) has been selected for the State Youth Art Month Exhibit. The exhibit will be held at the State Capitol Rotunda in Madison from March 13 through March 25. There are only 300 young artists selected for this state recognition each year. Students who have received this honor include Amanda Gryniewicz, a sophomore from Brookfield; Caitlin Fentzlaff, a freshman from Oconomowoc and Amanda Srok, a junior from Greendale. Work selected for the YAM state exhibit will compete for a W.T. Graham Award or an art supply gift certificate from SAX Arts and Crafts or NASCO.
Laura Klitzke, a senior from New Berlin, and Susan Simon, a senior from Milwaukee, will receive a “SAX Arts and Crafts” award at the Youth Art Month Celebration and Reception on March 6. The awards ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Milwaukee Public Library’s Centennial Hall.
