Who Stole the Keeshka? Polish Diva from Milwaukee to perform at DSHA
Milwaukee, WI – Divine Savior Holy Angels (DSHA) is proud to present the Milwaukee debut of The Polish Diva from Milwaukee. The show will take place on Friday, October 15 at 8:00 p.m. This witty, musical comedy is written and performed by Terry Palasz, a native of Milwaukee and 1974 graduate of DSHA. The one woman show follows Terry, a polka dancing, classically trained singer, as she tries to escape her Polish-English-Catholic Milwaukee upbringing. She receives advice from her wacky relatives in the form of songs such as “Who Stole the Keeshka Polka” and “Everybody Eats When They Come to My House.” Terry is able to entertain the audience with her hilarious and heartwarming journey of self discovery and, ultimately, the appreciation of her diverse hometown. Terry is joined by pianist Scott Warrender (composer of “Das Barbecu”) and accordionist Toby Hanson.
Now living in New York City, Palasz has performed her cabaret act in New York, Minnesota, Washington and Oregon - but never Milwaukee. She was voted Cabaret Hotline Online's pick for Best Female Musical Sketch Comedy Artist of 2001. Listed below are reviews of The Polish Diva from Milwaukee.
