DSHA announces new varsity basketball coach
Milwaukee Divine Savior Holy Angels High School announced today that Scott Witt of New Berlin has accepted the position of varsity basketball head coach.
Witt played basketball at Montana Tech during which time he was the All-Time Career Leading Scorer, Conference MVP, four-time All-Conference pick, three-time Academic All-American and team captain. His most recent high school coaching has been at New Berlin Eisenhower where he successfully led the boys JV basketball team to an undefeated season and assisted with the varsity program.
I feel that DSHA is a perfect fit for me, said Witt. The traits that I value in my players are the traits that are already taught here. Strong personal values, high academic standards, and steady work ethics are what I will aim to be reinforcing on a daily basis. Leading a program with the stature of DSHA is an awesome responsibility, and one I do not take lightly.
We believe he will be a tremendous role model for the girls and will represent DSHA very well, said DSHA athletic director Peggy Seegers-Braun.
Witt replaces Bill Scasny, who resigned in May after a 14-year career with DSHA.
