As we have had a waiting list for incoming freshmen each year since 1999, submission of the admissions application prior to the mid-December deadline is strongly encouraged.
All young women interested in applying to DSHA should take a placement test at DSHA or another Milwaukee-area Catholic High School. Acceptance is determined by placement test results, grade school records and teacher evaluation. Applicants and their parents will be notified of their admissions status by letter in mid-January.
Transfer students should submit their admissions application well in advance of the semester in which they wish to enroll. Review of the application includes transcripts, contact with the guidance office at the current school, letter of interest from the student and an interview with the student and, in some cases, the parents. If a student is qualified for transfer, acceptance is based upon availability of spaces in the class level of the applicant.
A comprehensive scholarship and financial aid program is available to qualified students and their families. Scholarship and financial aid applications are available in September. The deadline for submission is usually early February.
If you are applying to DSHA through the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program, please call the DSHA Advancement Office at 414-466-3707 for more information.
“Though several years ago I wouldn’t have said it, I can now see that I would not be the person I am today if it weren’t for the qualities instilled in me at DSHA. As a Dasher, I learned to be a strong in both character and conviction. The intellectually and spiritually stimulating environment at DSHA gave me the foundation that allowed me to travel half way around the world and and to thrive in a very challenging situation.” Andrea Heiderer DSHA’01
